Boorong / Wergaia
Kulkunbulla
Kulkunbulla are two young men in Orion’s belt and sword, a Boorong dance in the sky.
Song and dance carried Law. Museums Victoria stresses that this Orion figure is remembered as performance, not as a Greek hunter.
Torres Strait Utimal also uses Orion, as Tagai’s punished crew. Again: same stars, different pack, never blended.
Mercury’s diagram is a belt of three lights and a sword. It is not a photograph of a ceremony.
Mercury 91 is not affiliated with any Aboriginal Land Council, Torres Strait Islander organisation, museum, or Stellarium. This library cites published ethnoastronomy. It is not a partnership and not a single pan-Aboriginal sky.
